WHEN A STAR DIES

Today Mr. Gen. Eng. Luigi Broglio dies.

The Father of the Modern Space Extra Solar System Interstellar Exploration.

 

Luigi Broglio, born in Mestre (Venice), the 1911,  November 11.,  was an Italian Aerospace Engineer and Airforce Military Engineering General, as well Dean of the School of Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Rome La Sapienza, beside Saint Peter in Chains.
He was the designer of the San Marco Program, which led Italy to be the third country in the world to build and operate its own satellite.

The first result of the Program resulted in the launch of the first Italian-built satellite, San Marco A, on 1964, December 15. [ see here ]
