Potenziano started to write the Family Diary in the 1573, when he was 33, the Christmas Eve. And then he asks to the First Son to do the same, and this was done until 1873.

Professor Rosetta Silvestri Baffi  discovered this, and reported this in a book, printed in the 1978 by Schena Editore, with the title: “Tre secoli di storia minore pugliese. Da una cronaca familiare e da documenti inediti (1573-1874).“, [Three centuries of pugliese minor history . From a family chronicle and unpublished documents (1573-1874).].

His major brother, Gian Lorenzo, was at Rome, with the Militia. There was only one year between Gian Lorenzo (1539) and Potenziano (1540).  And their Father Domenico (also known as, from now on aka, Menico).

It was the meritato riposo after the Batlle, and the Victory, of Lepanto, the 1571, Oct 07.

The Battle of Lepanto, (known as Efpaktos by the abitanti, Lèpanto dai veneziani e İnebahtı in turco), detta anche battaglia delleEchinadi o Curzolari[7]  was a naval engagement taking place on 1571, October 07. in which a fleet of the Holy League, a coalition of European Catholicmaritime states arranged by Pope Pius V and led by Spanish admiral Don Juan of Austria, decisively defeated the fleet of the Ottoman Empire on the northern edge of the Gulf of Corinth, off westernGreece. The Ottoman forces sailing westwards from their naval station in Lepanto (Turkish:İnebahtı; Greek: Ναύπακτος or ΈπαχτοςNaupaktos or Épahtos) met the Holy League forces, which came from Messina, Sicily, where they had previously gathered.

The victory of the Holy League prevented the Ottoman Empire from expanding further along the European side of the Mediterranean. Lepanto was the last major naval battle in the Mediterranean fought entirely between galleys and has been assigned great symbolic and historical importance by several historians.[9][10][11]
